Got it today. I haven't had it long so not sure how good it is, but what in the world is the little plastic carrot for? Is it for decoration? I've probably missed the point of it entirely lol

Haha thanks! Is there any way to clean the carrot and bottle? I would use boiling water but not sure if it would crack the glass.

I just clean it with a bottle brush as I would any other bottle. The carrots you can clean how you like - as long as they don't go down the sink like mine :lol!:

Haha my hamster has one of these. Those carrots are soooo teeny. He prefers his bowl so dont use the bottle any more.

I scrub mine out with a brush and soak in Milton or the Boots equivalent once a week. The steralising solution is especially good for outdoor bottles that turn green in the sun and Spike and Peanuts bottle nozzles that get manky with nugget dregs spat up them. Disgusting piggys, but you got to love them, they are so sweet most of the time. :))

Lol :))

Thanks for the replies. For bottle cleaning, how is Baby Milton solutions? Is it very good? I'd be worried about leftover solution in the bottle.

Also, rice? I've heard many use it but not sure how it helps shaking it in the bottle.

My bottles have little plastic bananas in them but it's the same idea, for checking the water level. Buying glass bottles is still one of the best things I've ever done though, no more broken spouts!
