Hi, I have a 8 week boar coming in to try with my 2 year old boar.

Is it beneficial for them to live side by side for a week or two before attempting introduction on neutral grounds?

As in, will it make the outcome better potentially if they see, hear and smell each other before being able to properly meet?

:agr: The other thing to consider is that behaviour with a divider is not an indication of how it would go with bonding.

Hope it goes well for them, do let us know how they get on 🤞🏾

Hi everyone, it was the smoothest introduction I have ever seen honestly, the older boar instantly accepted the baby, they really like sleeping together and playing together. When the young boar is being silly towards the older boar, he's being very dad-like and gentle with the baby! There has been no chattering whatsoever and very little mounting/rumbling. They've been together for a few days now. Hopefully they will survive the puberty months.
