I’m very concerned because yesterday when I picked up my guinea pig, I felt a small red bump on the bottom left side of her stomach. Do you think this is something serious? Because today when I looked at it, it didn’t seem like the red bump was there anymore, but I didn’t get to have a close look today at it so I’m not sure if it is actually still there. Any suggestions on what to do? That would be very helpful, thank you!

Hi!

Please look for it again and if possible, take a picture. It could be a nipple or the beginning of a lump of some sort but going just by your words, we cannot do anything else or comment. If in doubt speak to your vets and mail them the picture for assessment.
Illustrated Sexing Guide (the first picture shows you how the nipples looks. Both genders have two; they look the same in boars and sows.
