When rumblestrutting (i.e. when he's not sleeping), he likes to flip it inside-out . There's also ALWAYS poo stuck there no matter how often I clean it, he just likes to drag his big butt around and get everything stuck up there

Don't worry, I understand you SO well. Teddy also had poo (and hair, and white smelling stuff) stuck up there because he was also dragging his butt all over the cage . I tried to clean it every few weeks because I was afraid it could end up in impaction. Teddy didn't like it at all. Bless him...
