Junior Guinea Pig
Hello fellow piggy slaves,
Does anyone know where the youtuber 'Little Adventures' bought her hayrack? It wasn't credited in a video I watched and am on the lookout for similar. It's a freestanding wooden hayrack 'barrel' so the piggies can sit together around it a bit more spaciously, rather than it being fixed to the side of a cage. It looks sturdy and solid so wouldn't tip over and can't be climbed into.
I started off with cage side hayracks in a wood pellet/chipsi kitchen area but the piggies weren't eating as much from them. Then I switched to a big pile of 'freehay' but means i am using, changing and washing my fleeces and peepads MUCH more often as the hay gets dragged everywhere thus so does the pee and poop. I have other pets and 3 children so can't keep up with all the washing with freehay. One of my piggies, Frida, appears to like her space when she eats and another, Coco, won't touch pee-flavoured hay. Ted will eat any of it but need to keep my divas well nourished.
Little Adventures' rack seems like a great option but I've scoured the (mainly online) petshops here in Austria, on Amazon.de and amazon.co.uk and on a few German sites but to no avail. Does anyone know please? Or can recommend anything similar or other high hay volume freestanding and safe rack (for 3 constantly hay grazing piggies)? Based in Austria but travel to/from the UK regularly so EU or UK sellers are fine.
Thanks!
