Hello

I'm thinking about getting some sort of litter tray for my piggies. Currently they have an every other day rotation of fleeces and I'm hoping that a litter tray might reduce this slightly.

Does anyone have any advice on this? what sort of litter to use? is it likely to be a success?

thank you?/

I have a corner litter tray.I put hay in it and mine do use it for wees and poops. They still do some on their fleece but it does seem to keep a little tidier generally.
I bought mine from Pets at Home, for £4

I have just started using litter trays. They were meant as hay trays orginally as I was using fleece but found the hay stuck to it terribly so bought some deep plastic trays and filled them with hay with one of those wooden bridge things to climb in and out. But my pigs now use it to wee in it! So I use it as both. I put newspaper in the bottom, then a huge pile of hay at one end and a piece of puppy training pad at the other. The pads are great. I buy them from poundland (5 per pack) and cut each one up into 8 pieces. I put them in all the corners where they pee including the tray. Then i just wip them out each day a replace with a fresh one.

Hi,

I use a large corner litter tray so they can both get in it to eat hay from the rack.

My sows use it well and I only have to change the fleece every week..

Boars different story!:)
