image.webphi! i have been using the kaytee bedding for my pigs litter box and i find that it just gets really gross like sticking to the bottom and doesn’t absorb all the way. is it better to use bedding or shavings for the litter box? also i have heard of the litter pellets? i use a pretty big cat sized litter box and emptying it out every 2-3 days has become expensive with the kaytee bedding. also is it better to use a hay bag or just pile the hay on one side?

I have used newspapers, puppy pads and disposable bedding in the hay tray. I think in the end I settled on washable puppy pads. The disposable bedding worked but was a little messy.

I did previously use biocatelet as well. If I remember correctly, you need a non clumping litter.

I use the wood pellets because they do absorb smells really well and last a full week. I prefer not to use disposable puppy pads as Master Boris is a nibbler, I don't get any newspapers so can't use them.
