I posted a few months ago about Lionhearts front teeth having problems. One of the front incisors seemed to have been damaged or just started growing oddly for some reason. And also his top ones seemed wrong, a bit pointy.
Lion lost some weight but was still happy, healthy and eating well. (Lion is roughly 5 years old)
The vet put him on antibiotics and metacam and to monitor to see if they grew back correct. After a few weeks he had a follow up appointment where we felt things were improving slightly. And still no issues with his back molars.
But then the tooth started growing sharp towards his top gum, and a hole appeared in the tooth. so I took him back to the vet and he had to tooth trimmed down to the correct level. Lion was much happier being able to take food normally in his mouth again, rather than having to eat sideways. He was put on septrin also.
2 days later the tooth broke to where the weakness of the hole was, and since then I’ve been keeping an eye on it until his next appointment which was in 4 weeks time. A few days ago I noticed it was growing sharp again so luckily his appointment is tomorrow.
I just wondered if anyone had any similar issues with front incisors? Will it just be a case of having to have regular trims?
