I posted the other day about my sweet angel Lionel being euthanized this coming Monday. Unfortunately, I found my sweet baby after he had passed peacefully in the night early this morning. He was laying snuggled up beside his hay rack—I hope he was comfortable, with a full belly, and felt safe. I’ve lost two guinea pigs, but have never found one like this. He was incurably ill, though, and I knew he was ready to go. I feel a little bit guilty that I did not get him euthanized sooner. I hope it was easy for him. Just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words on here throughout his life and several posts. I love him endlessly. My sweet buddy. Pet loss is so truly its entire own form of agony. I am set to pick his ashes and paw print up later this week. I am so happy I had the privilege of knowing him.

I am really sorry to hear this, he was gorgeous.

He will know how loved he was, you were not to know he was going to pass on his own. He fell into forever sleep in the comfort of his own home.

He was a gorgeous boy and had a life full of love.
