so my partner was thinking of changing my piggies cage from shavings to lino or the lamimate flooring? is this a good idea? obviously we would poop pick and dry it daily?

You will still need an absorbent layer on top of the link otherwise they will be paddling round in huge mess very quickly. :vom:
If you let us know why you are changing from shavings, maybe we an come up with some other suggestions?

Lino is good but only as the very bottom layer. As @Swissgreys says, you need an absorbent layer on top whether that is carefresh, shavings, puppy pads or back to nature or similar. Otherwise the wee will sit in pools, get dragged all round the cage on feet and fur and also start to dissolve the poops.

thats what i thought. i hate shavings and thinking of going backto fleece but had problems with it before. i have a hay area and when they are popcornign they spread it all over the fleece hence going back to shavings but ive seen on anpther site somone has made a wall out of correx and tunnels going from the fleece to hay area so not sure if that would help with the hay and shavings?

The Lino is used to help protect whatever the enclosure is made of. A wall will definitely help to retain the hay, unless your piggies like to drag it about like my boys do :))
