Lining that hay doesn’t stick to?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend mats that hay doesn’t stick to? I’m currently using a dog crate liner in the big part of the cage with puppy pads underneath and this is fine but in the feeding area with the hay I’m using puppy pads with a towel or fleece and I can’t get all the hay off I’m worried I’m going to break my washing machine.

Ps the litter tray has been removed now it was pointless and too big!

I bought a pet laundry bag large size to put piggies bedding in and hay does stick to most things but that’s the piggies life and comfort, they love loads of hay to burrow and hide and forage and do their business in. Mine make a mess but I’m not bothered as it was my choice to get my babies
P.s hay is their main food and need lots of it

I agree about using a laundry bag to wash the fleece in. Using a rubber brush to brush the excess of will also help. Otherwise, hay is always going to stick to any fabric bedding

Bobble bath mats are great. The hay just shakes off them!

I second bobble mats, wish I'd found them sooner! I also use a pet bedding wash bag in the machine.

Mine is Moorland Rider - a large horse wear wash bag.I’m only on my second one in 10 years - so hard wearing.

I have two large cages and use washable puppy pads which I change out every couple of days with a couple of old towels on top.

I use horse bag,and bobble mats.use a cat litter tray,lined with megazorb and pile hay high.

We have and use fleece liners - when we do a full clean out we use a dust pan and brush to get the majority of hay up then use the vacuum with the little brush attachment to get the stubborn bits up and I find this is enough to save our washing machine from getting clogged!
