Limer was found deceased.

Hello all, I have two beautiful cavies well one now….. this morning I went to their cage and put in carrots and the usual veggie goodness they have come to expect. Cleaned them out as I do each day and went about my business. I returned at approx 4pm to go and I have found my stepsons beloved piggy deceased…. He was playing in the garden so had to be very diplomatic. Our other cavie had said his goodbyes as he was wandering about the cage like nothing had happened…. I bathed Limer 3 days ago and there was nothing untoward with him, I checked him and he was healthy…… (I blowdried him before he was out back in his cage, which he loved). I’m a little upset as we have only had these piggies since March 2022….. Boris is now alone and I’m worried about what he is going to make of being alone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
 
I am so sorry you lost Limmer, sleep tight little man 🌈

Your best bet for your little bereaved boar would be to find him a friend. Boar dating at a rescue would be your best bet as boars need to choose their own friend, so sorry for you all x

I am so sorry for your loss 😞 The best thing you can do for Boris is to find him a new friend. Many rescues now offer boar dating where you take your bereaved piggy and they try and find a match.

I’m so sorry for your loss… please get another piggy for Boris when you are emotionally ready. Limer was so young.😔
