Lily’s nail is not growing back

Hi, hope you’re well.

Sweet Lily tore a nail close to two months ago. The vet looked it over back then, all was good.

Her nail still hasn’t grown back, nothing there. Just a little toe with no nail, not even a mm.

Is that normal? Her other toesies have no problem growing nails, they grow at the speed of light it seems. She’s a happy healthy pig otherwise, going to be 5 in spring.

She’s so groggy on that pigture, poor thing had to wake up to my phone in her face

When my Edward tore his nail right down to the quick, it took several months for it to grow back. It was a very slow process and it grew back thicker than the rest but he was absolutely fine You may find that Lily’s nail takes a long time too x

When Billie lost part of her nail it also took quite a long time to regrow.
