We lost one of our piggies last week :( and we're wondering how the others are coping without her, Trixi in particular as she would depend on Bella and only often would appear behind her. We rescued them both together so we're a bit worried about her. We rescued Samuel too but he's a very confident boy so we think he's ok. We think they're around 5yrs old now and we've had them for just over 2yrs. x

I'm so sorry to hear about Bella.

Big hugs to you and your family!

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Do Samuel and Trixi live together or side by side? Some guinea pigs do seem to grieve for cage mates. Are they both eating and drinking well? I'm sure you're giving them lots of cuddles and attention to help them adjust.

Goodnight little Bella. :rose

I am sorry for your loss! Are Samuel and Trixi together?

It is natural that piggies do grieve, especially when they have been very close. Give them your love, even though many piggies do draw into themselves. Hopefully, they will perk up slowly in a few days.

Make sure that they are still eating.

RIP Bella

Hi thanks for the replies and wishes, Samuel and trixi are together and are both eating. Hubby put an old vetbed in the hutch last night that would've had bella's scent on it. Trixi kept licking at itike she used to do to bella. I hope this doesn't make her worse? Hubby thinks it'll help? Bella died in the hutch, do * think this helps them to understand better? They both seem to be ok, I just worry about poor trixi missing her sister x
