NOOOOO, it's finished :'( Where is my Gene Hunt spin off series?

A great ending though. I won't spoil it in case some folks want to watch it later or have taped it. Hubby now wants a Cortina ::)

That was the best tv for ages, gutted its over, they could of stretched a 3rd series i reckon, another series i love 24 keeps on going.....

Brilliant tv :)

Looking foward to spin off series next year :D

Here here, really going to miss Gene, Sam and the boys (and of course girls!). Fingers crossed for a spin off.

Hmm, I hope it won't go the way of a lot of sequels and be a disappointment.

Life on Mars.. has been one of the best progs on TV for ages. Really enjoyed it and so delighed that it wasnt a rubbishy ending last night. :)

Going to miss my weekly dose of it.

its was absoluty brilliant have already got the first series on dvd and the book and will be getting the last series as some one who grew up and married in the 70s it took me back to a wonderful era hubby had cortinas and it was his red one that took my eye when we first met phwoar! other wise known as Dagenham dustbins he loved them and ended up having 4 I think and of course the capri as well , still stuck with Fords even now! the series was brillaint bit confusing at times but how did you all take it at the end what do you think it all ment, I've got ideas running through my head and its given me a head ache not helped by damn kids arguing,

my other fav prog New Tricks was back monday as well :)

Just aquick question, was the 70's real and he was dreaming of the future, or was the present real and he was dreaming of the 70's? I only ask cos he couldn't 'feel' anything in the present?

thats what was puzzling me he only felt what was real so he must of been real in the 70s as he couldn't feel the cut on his hand in 2006

I wondered whether his 'life' in the 70s was so exciting and exhilarating that the 'normal' life in the present was a pale comparison. I wondered whether the twist was that he really was from their future - with all the gadgets and modern policing methods - but decided the future wasn't worth living; he much preferred the past. Interestingly the spinoff series has a similar theme.

oooohh now it makes sense! ;) I wondered why he did not ask about his kidnapped girlfriend in 2006 !

I've been wondering too - if he wasn't really from the future then how did he know about when it was a new drug then, and all the info about the IRA? I'm still trying to work out exactly what was real! :D

Think I'm gonna go with the theory that the past was his real time, not the future, although it does make you wonder how he would know about 'stingers' etc.
