licking

hi, had my piggies for nearly a year now and every time i put my hand in their cage to stroke them, one of them(sooty) always licks my hands. what does this mean? she also sometimes licks my face when i have her out on my knee!

My piggies do this too, if I'm stroking them they sometimes turn round and lick my hand. I'm not sure if its the salt they are licking off your hands, but i like to think of it as piggie kisses! :smitten:

My two girls don't lick me, but Basil does, especially after I've done his favourite thing which is to tickle him under the chin. I just love it, that tiny sized tongue with such a warm lick - it feels like he's saying "thank you" for his tickles.

Mine sometimes lick me but Eliza especially likes to chew my skin on the back of my hand and on my arm. It doesn't hurt but I like to see it as a sign of affection :smitten:

Funnily enough I was just going to post about piggies licking hands. whenever Winston is sat on my knee, he licks my hands....I'll take that as a sign of affection

Not too sure what it means but Murphy does it alot when i have been tickling his chin. Its lovely :smitten:
