We have 6 piggies. Only two of the girls really let me "pet" them while in there cage. In the morning, I usually say good morning to the girls and give them a little "pet." I usually then put my finger in front of their mouth/nose so they can get use to my smell. I usually get a small nip, nothing that hurts. A few days ago I got a little lick from Cinnamon. Today she gave me a bunch. Is that a good thing? Is licking your owner a sign that the piggy likes you?
 
Could be that she likes you, but more lightly that she likes the natural
salts secreted by your scin
 
I call that piggy kisses. There are some who say it's attraction to our salts but only some of my piggies do it to me, and only those with whom I have a special bond. I just think it's kisses and grooming (acceptance as part of their herd).

Only one does this. She lays down and lets me pet her in her cage when i come in the room.
 
Only one of my pigs do this, and that is the one that I have the best bond with.
However netheir of my other two nip me...
I like to think it's kisses anyway!:luv:
