licking : sign of affection?

both of my guineapigs lick me almost every time i interact with them, even if i havent handled any food. is this a good sign?

Yes, this could be a good sign! My piggies have been licking me too. This means that your piggies like you, or even love you! Thisi means affection, and they are bonding with you!

I tend to think so. My pigs will lick and lightly nibble... I always wonder if they are grooming us the way they would themselves or another pig. Except Tomie, she just nibbles, sometimes a bit harder than we would like her to!

You're very lucky They lick to show affection and to lick the salt from your hands . Mine nibble me and tug at my clothes when they want to go back to their cage, usually to use the toilet but they lick for affection

Biscuit often comes up and licks my finger when I put my hand into the cage. I love it when she does that. Toffee, on the other hand will come and sniff and then run away

We call it 'piggy kisses'.
Some piggies also lick because they like the salk and minerals on your skin.
