one of my girls luna has haypoke and i’m treating her with eye drops and cornea gel, but the baby pig badger keeps licking her eye, should i be concerned? i know they clean eyes but i’m worried about badger tasting the medicine and then worried if it’ll make lunas eye worse

Like @Sweet Potato i kept my piggy with hay poke separate from the others for a short while after applying the antibiotic drops as Georgie would just lick them off. It was actually how i realised Peggy had a poorly eye, as Georgie was continuously licking it. One of our piggies, Mavis, has a permanently blocked tear duct and both her cage mates keep it clean for her. She does sometimes looks a little affronted at her face being licked, especially as Georgie is quite enthusiastic about it.

Hi!

Please make sure that you give Luna about half an hour away from the cage after applying her antibiotic eye drops to allow them to be fully absorbed.

after that time and i’ve put her back in and badger begins to lick her eye again is it nothing to worry about? it won’t affect lunas eye more will it?
