i didnt know if i should post or not incase it was my fault so thanks how do they get there where do they come from x

yeah would agree with dsl, lice can be gotten rid of by using lice and easy from gorgeous guineas. I think lice come from hay ?

well chrissie from gg as phoned me good customer service there as i was well impressed i havent used them before but will be again.
It could have come from the grass apparently or my hay arghhhhhhh.
I have orderd lice and easy and posh and go as well as some perfectpaws for a foot massage on one piggies pinkish tutters.
I have to bath then 7 days later to get rid of eggs and everything left behind hope its good days as i have 11 to do lol

Sorry to hear about the lice >:( and pleased to hear that you are dealing with it.

I have lice on my newly adopted blind little piggy, Princess, and I guess also her sister. I have never had lice on my pigs before in 17 years of keeping them and I cannot stress the importance of putting new pigs in quarantine until you are sure that they haven't any diseases or pests on them. If I hadn't put these two separate then I would be in for a much bigger problem. Also I have kept my hutch cleaning out brush etc. separate and wash my hands after touching Princess and her sister before going near my other piggiees.

I have to say that I have not heard of lice coming from hay. Hay mites yes, but lice no. I think lice just come from lice from other animals but perhaps I am wrong!
