Lice not going away

My 2 guinea pigs were diagnosed with lice 7 weeks ago by the vet. They were prescribed xeno 50 to be taken 3 times, 2 weeks apart. Once the course was finished they were still scratching. Before taking them back to the vets I tried the gorgeous guineas lice n easy shampoo (had heard good things) but after 2 washes 1 week apart they are STILL scratching. Any advice would be appreciated!

I would take them back to the vet to make sure that there are no lice. How many Xeno 50 pods did the vet recommend to put on their spines? It all depends on their weight as to how many you need.
