At the moment I am having to poo-pick the girls cage at least 4 times a day. This is fine while I'm off work right now but I won't be able to do this as often when I'm back in employment.
Is there anything I can do to help this or should I just resign myself to the endless poo-picking grind?

I've attached two (terrible quality!) photos which show the whole cage and an area which I poo-picked just an hour and a half ago.

:lol!:
They can produce a lot of poop can't they bless them! I tend to put a huge pile of hay in a cat litter tray and they sit in it eating away but also using it as a toilet I find this easier too clean! But as far as I'm aware you can never stop the little poop machines pooping everywhere ALOT just part of the job :D

:agr:

To be honest mine would poo about that much in an entire 12 hour period in the main part of the cage!
They do poo A LOT, but around 90% of it ends up in their hay trays.
I have 3 pigs and 2 large hay trays which I freshen twice a day (the hay trays - not the pigs).
I also cover the top of the hay trays a little with a fleece blanket clipped to the grids, to encourage them to spend a lot of time there. :tu:
It doesn't stop all the poos, but it does collect a large amount and means I only need to poo pick morning and evening.

Below is a picture of the hay trays (without the blanket obviously).

Mine poo everywhere and that's even with a hay tray! Any tips?

I poo pick three to four times a day but I do have eight in one cage.I use litter trays which collects a lot. It's just something I have to live with

I have shoe boxes filed with hay which they poo in a lot. I change these about 2-3 times a day. I also poo pick up to 10 times a day, if I'm at work then my Mum will do it. We're both very ocd about this

Even with all this poo picking, they still manage to make a mess. I think it's something we just have to accept

:yikes:All of mine love to poo a lot. I worry if there's not as much poop. Lol. I also poo pick at least 2 times daily.

Ahh, to worry about too many poos- how i miss those days! Now I'm happy when i see lots of poos scattered everywhere! Means my two elderly sows with health issues are still eating and feeling good!
