We are an international forum and the default language is English but what about us all learning something.
So - Person 1 posts a word in whichever language they choose.
Person 2 guesses the meaning and the language then posts their own new word.

Example:
1. Meerschweinchen
2. Guinea pig in German
Teatro

Hope that makes sense

No, that's not German

But Cochon d'Inde is French for guinea pig, similar to the Italian word for them too.

Heu

Aw I studied languages many many years ago at university. I still have the French and Russian literature books I studied - I do use Google translate too but I have a nostalgic affection for the old way of learning!

Muc ghuine.

Not sure what language, but it looks like guinea pig. Romanian?

Verganho

iirc is something like 'so or 'such' in Russian, at least that's the sound of it obviously written in Cyrillic. Kak is 'how'.

My word for you all is Muig!
It's German and it's guinea-related. Try sounding it out:D

Muiggen is a German expression for wheeking. Not 'my' part of Germany but I have always liked the word. :D

My mistake, sorry! Good to know that Meerschweinchen have their own words in German too :luv:

I used to use a lot of makaton several years ago. I love the guinea pig sign.

Chuchichästli. (Pronounced Khookhi-khashtly)
