my guinea pig started to act weird about a day ago. He’s not as energetic. He has some wet poop on his bottom. He has eaten a few pieces of romaine lettuce and some peppers. He seems to be a little tense too. He is staying in one place. We fed him a little bit of water through a dropper. He seems a little bloated. What should I do?

Hi! Please see a vet asap!

Please take your boy off fresh foods and start syringe feeding him mushed up pellets until you can get hold of some recovery formula. With pellets you need to prep the syringe tip as shown in the guide. You can get needle-less 1 ml syringes from a pharmacy. 80% of the daily food intake is hay, but you cannot control that. Hand warm water is not sufficient to keep the guts going; all it does is prevent acture dehydration.
