We are looking to book our summer holiday soon
I have four girls in a 6x2 C&C- last summer I only had two girls and they had a little holiday cage and went to stay at my mums for the week.
However, there are now more of them and they won’t fit in my mums house

I’ve asked my sister if she will stay at mine for a week when we go, but haven’t got a definite answer from her yet. My mum has said if no one will stay, they will check in on them daily but I’m just not sure this is enough? They’d have to go in an upstairs room so I could leave a window open (as it will be July), but I feel like they need more than one Check on a day especially with topping up food etc.

Still keeping my fingers crossed that one of my sisters will be able to just stay in the house with them (even offering to pay!) but if not ha anyone had experience of people checking in daily? I’m quite a worrier lol

Yes - they need checking twice a day, once a day hay refill will not be enough, plus there are the welfare checks anyway (ie that they haven’t got too hot and are all well)
Perhaps if your mum can check once then maybe you have another family member or friend/neighbour who could do the second check of the day?
If all else fails, could they go to a boarder?

My guinea pigs go to a boarder that is part of a good local Guinea Pig Rescue. I asked around on Facebook on my local pages and the also the vet. I pay around £5 a night.
