Has anyone got a lazybones green hutch cover....they are weatherproof and seem quite good for the money.
I'm trying to find out if they're suitable to be left on all year, so that they'd keep the hutch cool in the warmer months.

I've phoned up several stockists, and no one seemed to know, but when I explained why I'd asked, they all said
'Yes, they'll be fine, the cover will keep the hutch cool'

I felt they were just saying what I wanted to hear and didn't know the answer.
Anyone on here, have any idea?

I'd feel the same about them just saying what I wanted them to hear when they said that AFTER I'd explained...

I have indoor pigs so I can't offer any advise but I hope someone can answer your question soon x

I have a Scratch and Newton hutch hugger that I think is essentially the same thing as the Lazy bones one. It is very good and does keep the wind and rain off. I also have a Scratch and Newton hutch snuggle which I am going to put under the hutch hugger when the weather gets colder. They are pricey but well worth the money I think.

There is a member on here who brought a hutch hugger off ebay and his huggers look very good.

I used to have the Scratch & Newton cover for my rabbit hutch, and it was brilliant.
This hutch came with the cover and S&N ones don't do a size to fit :(

I may have to buy another hutch with the scratch & newton hugger & snuggle

May be you could contact Moonpig off here and ask her for the details of the man who made her hutch cover. Apparently he makes them to measure. It seems a shame to get rid of a perfectly good hutch.

Thanks for that Claire.
I think I'll keep the hutch and cover for this winter, and if it doesn't keep it cool in the summer, I'll have a rethink.

That was the reason I like the S&N ones as they kept the hutch cool in the summer.

Does the Lazy bones hutch cover have the silver material on the inside as I think it is this that keeps the hutch cooler?

During the summer months, I use scratch and newton ice pods (or frozen plastic bottles wrapped in socks work just as well) to keep the hutch nice and cool :)

No it's hasn't got the silver lining.
It's completely different from the scratch & newton covers ...this cover is made of green material, a bit like a thin canvas, as in tents.

It is waterproof though, I just was hoping that it kept things cool too.
Thanks for your help
