Junior Guinea Pig
Hi all,
I've only had the girls (Betty & Bertha, about 20 months old) since November so am fairly new to piggies. I just wondered, do your piggies move a lot or have I just got lazy girls!?!
The girls have moved between a midwest habitat (upstairs), and a 4 x 2 C & C (downstairs), as well sometimes having free time in the lounge. I've recently decided the midwest is too small though so have permanently set them up in the C & C. I've found when I've let them have free run they hardly come out, tend to stay hidden away.
They don't like actually being picked up but once held will sit on us for ages, without trying to move. Last weekend for example they'd had free run in the living room (but had hardly moved!) and then we sat them with us on the settee, after a while we got up and left them snuggling and all in all it was 3.5 hours before they got up and wanted to walk about. Is that normal?
It hardly seems worth letting them have free run in a room if they stay sat hidden away somewhere (not that's its any effort to let them out but you know what I mean)
