So as some of you may know Larry has quite severe arthritis due to his diabetes, despite only being around 2.5 years old.
His toes on the outside of his front feet curl inwards, as do his nails.
When cutting his nails today I've noticed the toe on his right foot looks red and sore (it looks worse than the picture shows)
He kind of walks on the sides of his feet a little, if that makes sense?
It's just the one toe on the one foot.
Bedding wise he is normally on fleece liners with a soft fleecy bed, but sometimes I also use Vetbed.
Is there anything I can do? It doesn't seem to cause discomfort when touched but his arthritis is quite severe in his legs, hips and back and he sort of waddles, so it's difficult to tell if his toe is affecting his movement or not.
He is currently on 0.15ml-0.2ml dog metacam 2 x day.

Hi

Try a thin layer of flamazine cream (active ingredient: silver sulfadiazine). It has antibiotic qualities. See a vet if it gets worse; right now it is very mild. Foot infections can be a secondary complication to reduced mobility issues like arthritis.

You may find these two links here here helpful when looking after older piggies with issues:

Thank you Wiebke! I've read the guides which have given me some tips. I've changed him onto his Vetbed again and applied some Sudocrem as that's all I have. I'll try and get some flamazine cream! Hopefully I'll catch it before it turns into anything.
I've double check and I can't see anything on his other feet so I wonder if it's a bit of a pressure point type of thing.

Thanks for your good wishes everyone! Me and my piggies (now just piggy) are in a bit of a rough patch lately aren't we?!
