Lap Time Struggles

I have had Bella and Grace for almost 7 weeks now. They are eating from my hand, always out in front of me and grace in particular comes over and likes being stroked in the cage (she lays flat out with chooken legs out). When they are in their run they will run around me and climb onto my lap. But when I try to have them on my lap they will wheek for the other one and are getting more restless. They are constantly trying to run up my top and they are getting more wriggly to the point where I find it hard to hold them. Any suggestions?

Food as a bribe will help, Could you have them out together? Maybe one on one person lap one on the other and sit next to each other?

It's just me so a bit tricky to have two at a time. Food works but literally only when they are eating lol
