Hello! My two old sows live side by side and have done for the last 2 years after a fight which tore little ones ear. Since having a divider they've lived totally harmoniously apart from the odd bicker. We are adopting a family members cat soon and although my girls live upstairs with a door lockable from the outside, I would feel like an extra precaution on top would be more traditional cages with lids. I know you can get C&C lids but in general I find them too fiddly. I'm thinking two Ferplast 140s (saving currently!) right up against each other, would that be enough space for my ladies do people think? And would they be able to interact enough in these side by side?
Thankyou! Any other cage suggestions welcome.

I have the Ferplas 160 and 140 and they are lovely cages. They are not too opening though they open from the side but have clips to keep them closed tight
