Hi guys, I know there are plenty of posts about urinary issues and whether or not the white deposits in urine are normal or not. But the reason I have finally decided to post about this and share these photos is that this has been going on now for the better part of 5 months. Ok time for the details and my specific question. I have 2 Abby girls, Daisy a very healthy, active and happy 11ish month old weighing 990 grams and Lola also very healthy, active and happy 9ish month old weighing 840 grams Everyday hay is oxbow Timothy stacks, orchard, and oat hay, small pet select second cut, and sometimes kaytee Timothy. Veggies at night about a cup each of radicchio, endive, grape tomato, cilantro, parsley or carrot are always in rotation but red leaf lettuce and either red, green, yellow or orange bell pepper are always on the menu. As well as 1/2 tablespoon each of oxbow cavy cuisine pellets. Natural cavy or oxbow urinary support are normal treats as well as a rotation of forages in tiny amounts of echinacea, plantain, and a mixture forage of flowers that I have ingredient checked for safety. Water in a bottle and bowl that is filtered. Ok so I've never witnessed blood or squealing or signs or discomfort when peeing and I'm not sure which one is doing it. But every single day there is white spots in the pee. It's always been powder and I've never felt hard chunks. Is this a precursor to an issue developing? Is it possible for this to happen forever and it's just healthy discharge of calcium? I'm sorry it's long but just wanted to give as much info as possible. Thank you SO MUCH for any responses I receive. I just love them so much and would do anything to prevent any discomfort that may be coming their way!

This sounds normal. White patches are where excess calcium is being excreted. The concern comes if it is gritty. You are doing everything else we normally suggest - keeping pellets limited and filtering water are the two things which limit calcium intake a lot, as well as ensuring high calcium veg (kale, spinach, parsley) is not fed frequently. Keep carrot and tomato as occasional treats, no more than a small amount once per week.
