My two long haired babies are 8 weeks and it is coming up to a few hotter days this week!
They live inside, but the flat can feel stuffy on hot days. I’m also out at work 7-4 in the days it is meant to be really hot (28!)
So far:
I have water bottles in freezer ready to wrap in towels and pop in the cage
Mum has given me a slate/granite kitchen tile to put on the floor of their cage should they choose to lay on it.
Wooden houses rather than plastic!
I keep blinds closed during the day.
Is it best to open or close the windows behind the closed blinds during the day? Also, is it worth laying a slightly damp flannel over the tile to keep them damp/cool, or will this cause more issues with them having long fur? I know they can suffer with heat and I won’t be home during the afternoon to keep an eye on them so just want to do all that I can!
