With autumn nights drawing in, I'm a bit worried about keeping Tallulah-oollah-woollah warm! I came down this morning and she was sat in the middle of the floor shivering and giving me the evil pig eye look...
I am half worried she'll freeze, but half thinking this is a ploy to get me to feed her extra calories in the form of porridge oats and carrots!
She has a gorgeous warm furry husboar who is very much in love with her and very laid back would never kick her out of bed... they have fleecy flooring, a wooden house that sleeps 2, a fleecy tunnel, a big fleecy double cuddle sack that sleeps 2... and there she is sitting in a draft shivering and giving me the pig eye!
I am guessing if she was really cold she would snuggle her handsome husboar or go in a fleecy bed place?
I've ordered an extra SnuggleSafe for her and we have many fleecy bed options and of course we'll put the heating on when it gets properly cold, but my house is over 100 years old and in the North West of England so it will never be a totally tropical climate during the winter months!
What do other skinny pig slaves do?

Mine seem to be ok at the moment with cosies etc but i just pop the heating on and turn the radiators off in the rooms i don't need heating yet, i also have portable oil heaters which can be plugged in, they are economic and good for heating small spaces.

Thanks, I was wondering about a portable oil filled heater, just ordered a little 800W one from Amazon especially for Tallulah! Don't want my chocolate hippo girl getting chilly :)

I put fleece blankets round/over the cages when it's cold as our house can be a bit drafty. We can't turn individual radiators off so in a freeze I leave the heating on low to keep the chill off. I don't have skinnnies but I still worry about the boys getting cold.

Yes I wondered about that too as my house is quite drafty, having the heating and a portable oil heater on until bedtime then chucking a big fleece blanket over the cage to keep the heat in and the drafts out overnight!

Personally I would love to spend the cold winter nights snuggled up in a big fleecy cuddlesack with soft furry Ollie pig, but Tallulah clearly values her personal space and independant feminist principles more than staying warm right now! Also maybe he farts a lot :)
