So I rescued a lovely 2-year old piggy 10 days ago today and now that we are out of the danger of losing his life I can focus on enriching his life. (I wrote about his condition in the introduce yourself thread if you want to know more)

He's going to have to live alone probably for weeks to come because what he has is contagious to other pigs, so I would like to hear from you guys what are your piggies favorite things to do? What keeps them occupied?

Most importantly I need to keep his mind off of scratching because he's had multiple open sores around his body and he keeps scratching the scabs off wich slows down the healing process

Kookos thanks you for your answers :)CYMERA_20160618_221000.webp

What an adorable little piggy - empty toilet roll tubes are fun to plat with - as are stiff paper bags filled with hay and empty plain ( not coloured and coated) cardboard boxes.

He is adorable, well done on rescuing him and all your hard work to make him better. @TAN has mentioned the three play things my boars like.

Not sure if you can get a carrot cottage delivered to Finland but they keep mine busy for hours. Here's one on Amazon.
Otherwise, the toilet roll inner tube stuffed with hay or a paper bag with hay are great favourites.

I've actually had this same gottage before I remember my pigs really liked it! Thanks for reminding me I should get one of these :)

I should find out where to get paper bags I guess in finland we just mostly use plastic bags in everything so theres none laying in the house :D I like the idea of filling the toilet rolls with hay he wasn't interested at all about the empty ones I put in the cage :D And cardboard boxes are a must I always make little cabins and mazes for my piggies out of them

You can get an empty egg carton and fill it with hay and goodies, it's like a little puzzle for them to open. I also like to do a long paper towel cardboard roll, cut holes in it and stuff hay in it. My Queso loves that. I've also stuffed a sock with hay, he really liked that too. The little bird hanging toys seem to be interesting to him and he likes his little stuffed animals. You may also want to try a fleece forest, some seem to like that. :)

Thank you that's a lot of good ideas, first thing I did was get him a stuffed animal it's such a cute idea :D And I think he actually likes it

I've tucked away a lot of project ideas for this purpose: {Life} Piggie Stuff
My pig is a single pig right now, so my main concern is to make sure he's busy and not lonely. So, I feel you! Glad I could help! :)
