After reading many postings and reviews on Pro-Fleece Vetbed, I have taken the plunge and just ordered two pieces to use in the bedroom of two of my hutches. I have gone for the brown colour.

I hope I have made the right decision as three of my piggies tend to wee in the corners of the bedroom.

I will let you know how I get on when it arrives.

you will love it! they piggies love it too, they go mad for it!

remember to use newspaper underneath though.

let us know how the piggies get on with it

we ordered our pro fleece yesterday as well. I picked up the corex this morning and the C&C grids are waiting at home. Hopefully by this afternoon we will have some happy piggies in their new home :)

I agree! I prefer to put towels or mattress protectors underneath. They last better and I always used to run out of newspaper;)

And it wont leave print on the correx when you take it out if its wet.

It arrived yesterday ... I haven't tried it yet, I just keep looking at it thinking "hey, that will eventually have to go in the washing machine" which worries me! rolleyes

make sure you put it in a old duvet cover or wash bag to catch all the fluff and bits of hay...
Personally I love mine!

Thanks for your comments everyone ... but I have to admit that the Pro-fleece is still in its bag in the hallway.

Even my eldest daughter, who doesn't live with me anymore, when she called in earlier asked what it was and commented on why it was still lying there rolleyes:red

Hopefully I will try it in one of my hutches at the weekend. It looks really thick though and I know that my hubby ain't gonna be very happy when he knows that it will be going in the washing machine! rolleyes

Well, the Pro-fleece went into the bedrooms today ... Stuart, Sparrow and Josie had a nice bath (well, I thought it was nice, but I can guarantee you that they didn't :{grrrr), a blow-dry, toe-nails clipped and a lovely hair cut each ready for the winter.

Then the Pro-fleece went in .... and the piggies went out of the bedroom into the lounge area! I reckon they thought "what the hell is that!" :))

aw they will get used to it and will love it! i promise you! :) just make sure you put it in a pillow case and all will be fine!

Well our pro-fleece arrived over the weekend - we've got 2 2x4 cages to cover... so bear in mind we need two fleeces for each cage, so that when one's in the wash we can use the other one. So I thought, get a 10m x 1.5m roll....

It arrived yesterday, and obviously my memory of how big a metre is (from school, admittedly) was waaaay out! We've got enough to carpet all of the bottom floor of our house, and make an extension with it. And then some.

There's me guesstimating the amount we'll need, and getting it totally and utterly wrong! Still, we'll not need to get any more for years and years! lol

:(|) ... that is the sort of thing I would do!

Yeap, Moonie8404 said you could try selling some on eBay or alternatively advertise it on here.

Stuart, Sparrow and Josie looked very comfy last night when I tucked them in and this morning they were still snuggled in the bedroom together on the fleece :<>.

I am just going to brush the hay and poos off and I will be back with my opinion later.

Well, I don't think Stuart, Sparrow and Josie have hardly ventured out of their bedrooms since Sunday. Every time I go in the shed or peep in, they are nowhere to be seen!

So I guess it definitely gets the thumbs up from them.

But for me, well I will decide when I have to wash the fleece and dry it. I brushed it off yesterday, put clean dry newspaper underneath again and I am embarassed to say that I did give it a sniff! ")

No, I have to say that from a practical point of view, it has got the thumbs down from me.

When it came to the washing and drying of it, then it was no-go.
I couldn't put it in the washing machine as I have a built-in washing machine with a lower weight capacity and a husband who, when comes into contact with hay and animal fur, gets chesty. I washed it in a bucket and it was been dripping on the line for two days.

So I am back to the wood-shavings, newspaper and hay.
I don't regret giving it a go, but it wasn't for me.

Oh that's a shame Goldie. I have to say that without being able to was it in the machine I can see why it's not going to work for you.
When it's been spinned mine dries in about an hour so it does make a huge difference.
I wonder if you could still use small pieces of it where under their houses or something?

oh Goldie thats such a shame it hasnt worked out, but i suppose everyone prefer different things.

like you said though, best to give it a try otherwise you will never know!

I dont understand what this is? is it like the cage liners piggy bedspread type thing or used like that? I have a 2x4 C and Ccage and i want a piggy bed spread I'm going to try and make one but could i use this vet bed in one is it too thick and would my sewing machine be able to sew through it?
