just heard to expect yet another battering

the radio has just said to expect 70 to 80 mile an hours winds yet again, the cats and hovercrafts are stopping already limited crossing only always a sign of it being bad, seems like its been non stop wind for weeks now,
keep checking my pig sheds roof the garden looks like a herd of elephants have been in it, poor Max has trouble standing up when he goes out he looks like he will blow inside out his long fur goes all over the place lol.
does anyone else worry about their kids school in this bad weather , its that I can remember in 87 when we had the hurricane a few schools lost their roof amongst other buildings and its playing on my mind , ::)
 
My son's school next to the river and the river does get scarily high sometimes. I just trust that the school would ring if the river started getting too close :o With all the rain yesterday it's very high at the moment, and it fluctuates with the tides although we're about 30 miles from the coast.
 
The wind here was awful last night. I'm sure i felt the house shaking! But it could've been my imagination. Sounded scary though. :o

Fences are falling now down again, and kinda scary being in our car as it has a high roof and the car rocks! :-\
 
its getting really windy again here,mums already closed the piggy shed up,its about time we had a days break in the weather,I know its mild etc but the winds getting kinda boring now :(
 
I've just got back from walking my son to school and the wind was scary, at one point I physically couldn't walk against it and my son was really scared. The river's high too, right up to covering the depth marker, hope it doesn't rain much more :-\
 
We have just had the most scary torrential downpour here in West Mids. Black skies ..the lot. I was beginning to wonder if there was a tornado on the way! :o :o :o :o.
 
Aparently there was a torneado(sp) in the twon next to us a few days ago! Scary. It's awful here today again, the wind is so bad. :-\
 
OMG its bad here the ferrys are shut yet again and we are hearing of trees down and buildings damaged and theirs a flood warning from the sea and rivers, I wont be flooded but being on a hill we might be blown away
 
It's bad here-my boyfriend came home from work this morning and there was a massive tree fallen right across someones drive and into the road so it was blocking all the traffic! I had doors banging and all sorts in the house last night-I hope the winds stop soon
 
it was all calm here this morning and now the damn wind is starting up again >:( >:( >:(
 
its getting a pain now is'nt it? maybe a touch exciting to begin with but now a pain, and theres more to come
 
its claimed 9 lives so far :'(

and I'm freaking that our piggy shed roof is gonna come off seeing as its so crappy
 
Nine! I've missed something then. I was only up to one. Not very good. And horrible for the families. :(

yeah it was one but its just been announced on the news that theres nine now :(
 
just got back on line we still have the high winds here in Ireland, the kids :o 14 foot trampoline took off and just missed the house and car and it was tied down.

piggies are all safe and snuggly thankfully

my sis in laws trampoline also took off and landed in next doors garden flying over a 6 ft fence, mine was put away in october maybe I can see into the future lol

Yeah we are all fine thanks, it is being dismantled this weekend haven't been able too today weather lashing with rain really horrid

we have lost 7 fisherman from Ireland at sea this week, , my heart goes out to all the families
