Just got promoted!

For the past couple of years I have been working incredibly hard at my job, putting in a lot of hours and and going out of my way to try and sort out some problem areas - well today it all paid off. I have been promoted to Team Leader of the department :)

Feel very daunted as I sometimes don't feel 'grown up' enough to have people working for me (I am 26 so should be over it now) but I am so pleased and happy for the opportunity! Nice way to end the week!
 
Hey congratulations Beany - I still feel like a little girl & I'm 28! Although I suppose it isn't such a bad thing 8)
 
Congratulations Beaney! Well done! It is daunting to have people working for you, but you wouldn't have go the job if you weren't 100% capable - all your hard work has paid off so you deserve to be very proud of yourself! I bet you'll be a great team leader. :)

Thank you! I work in a Project Office - part of the team looking after all the IT software and systems development projects going on within the company. We work along side the individual project managers and analysts/developers to make sure that as a whole programme, everything is coming together as it should. Or should I say, I now manage the team who look after all of the projects ;) :)

but hey - do you just have more responsibilites now, or are you actually paid more aswell?

cause if you dont, thats a bit sneaky of them, "promoting you" just so you get to do even more work!
