Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but it came up in my Facebook memories (actually 2 days ago, but I didn't check them til today lol). Just Comet, doing what Comet did.

I can't wait to move. The guinea pig shaped hole in my life is still there nearly 4 years later.

I have a text message (and therefore written proof as far as I'm concerned) that says I can have guinea pigs. It'll take maybe a couple of months to get cages/bedding/food/hay etc sorted but there's no way it's not happening now lol. I genuinely can't wait, I feel like everyone else is looking forward til Christmas and I'm redirecting all that energy towards "oooh piggies" :))

Hes beautiful. He really does look like one of the guineapigs abandoned outside ayr.

I don't have any decent ones of Blitzen sitting at that angle when his fur hadn't started properly growing out, he was very anti-camera (and anti-people unless food was involved), this is the best one I could find:

Before his fur started growing out it sat brushed back over his head and behind his ears almost exactly like one of those rescues has now. I know his colouring is different but I was like "I know that head!"

They were a pair of gorgeous wee clowns. I'm pretty sure they were the cause of a good chunk of my grey hairs, but they were great. Even if I groaned "ffs Comet not AGAIN" on what felt like at least a two hourly basis every night. Any noise, zoomies, headbutting hideys out of the way, fell off trying to mount Blitzen, had Blitzen fall off trying to mount Comet, it was always Comet. Unless there was rumbling going on, in which case that was both of them.

Oh, and tipping the water bowl (broken bottle) over. And leaping off the sofa trying to get at the bag of hay. And bumping hideys out of the way for the zoomies circuit you want, even if your buddy is trying to sleep in it at the time. And complaining because you've been given your spinach the wrong way round. And trying to eat the letterbox. And trying to eat the towels. And trying to eat the carpet. And trying to eat the wallpaper.

Ah, Comet. He was one of those pigs it was very hard not to adore.

Precisely! And now that I have someone sorted to do the moving...I possibly could've shopped around a little and got it cheaper but honestly, moving day is the 17/12 and it's short notice, I can't risk losing my chance to move entirely. I do not want to be here over Christmas, it's not worth it lol. Part of it's awkward because the place doesn't have on-street access, the only way from the road is via an alleyway you'd get a motorbike through and that's it, so it has to be walked down. On the bright side, most of the furniture can stay downstairs lol.

Christmas is one of my least favourite times of the year, moving makes it worth it! Although when I said I didn't want to see anyone over Christmas, "So, you don't want us to drop off a free dinner or anything?" "Heck yes. I'll put up with people for free food." Packing's easier this time too, no saying goodbye to piggies this time round.

The solution to this problem - don't tell your OH. I certainly don't let on to mine! Hopefully he'll never realise that in the last 2 days I've ordered 2 corner tunnels off @Lavinia, 2 Carrot Cottages and 4 Haycubes!

I've been without meds since Friday because apparently the community carers that were supposed to bring them decided not to. I mean I don't know for certain but that was Friday, this is Monday, and there's been zero attempt at contact so far. Same goes for the CMHT. Packing is interesting when I can't focus for more than 30 seconds on anything and have to stay in a dark room (no migraine meds).

(but aside from that everything's going to plan lol)
