Since we introduced a new guinea today to the hutch, our other 2 guineas have been rather noisy but are settling but they keep jumping up in air and kicking our their back legs, what doe this mean?

It's called popcorning it means they are very happy. When my first pig Sunshine started doing this I thought he was haing some kind of seizure! 98) But it means they are overjoyed. :)

Well if they are happy he is there they are giving him the wrong signals, he is still quivering ;D

Thanks :)

Aww is he eating ok? I have a quivering pig he doesn't do it so much now but Eccles is so submissive and he can be timid. So cute! :)

Yes he is eating from the bowl, Jack will share the bowl with him happily but Patrick keeps pinching Jacks food because he is too scared to go near the new one, lol!

He is also sitting on a carrot and he keeps nibbling it ;D

I did exactly the same. Searched on the net quickly with the emergency vets number in my hand.

Lol - I panicked too when mine started doing it - I thought something was wrong, didn't realise they were extremely happy. Funny wee things! ;D

Yay happy little popcorners O0
you must be an excellent cavy slave O0

I love it when my piggies jump in the air ;D ... infact Shaun did it within days of being neutered and he hadn't done for ages prior to the operation.
