Jumping & Running

Hi,

I don't known how to explain this, but sometimes at night Beep keeps on jumping and running around her cage. It happens for 2-3 minutes. He runs over her food and created a mess. I tried calling her name but she won't stop and I do not want to scare her either, so I just let her be until she finally stops and sleep.

Is that a normal behavior? I am very worried.

It means that your piggy is very happy and that you are doing everything right!
 
I have a three that do this, all at various ages.

They have a little set course which they 'lap' at full pelt one after the other for about 5-10 minutes, woe betide anything or anyone which gets in the way when they do it, it or they will simply get run over! Its lovely to watch though and always makes me giggle. Usually happens near feeding time....
 
well thank goodness for that, i've had only had my pair for a week and last night they were chasing each other around like lunatics at full pelt around their cage. I don't know them well enough yet to understand their behaviours but it seems they were just having fun!
 
They are having fun indeed - and have settled in well! So rejoice!
