I have 2 guinea pigs but they are growing, and quick, so I think they need more room. However we cannot afford to buy a double tier hutch so I thought buy another single tier hutch from ebay or something then stack it on top of my first one, cut a hole, build/buy a ramp and attach it to the hole, drill the hutches together and I'd be done. Is it that easy or not?

How big is your current hutch?

That would be possible but stability may be an issue unless you can screw it to a wall. It wouldn't be totally straightforward unless your good at DIY and have the tools!

I'd suggest having a look on preloved or your local paper for a second hand 6ft hutch. You could then sell your current hutch to get some money back.

Thank you, it's about 3ft long and over 20" in height. That's a good idea, thanks

What about adding one on to the side by cutting a circular hole out of each side and using a drain pipe to connect the two? May be simply than trying to stack them?
