Am I the only woman alive that can't stand to wear jewellery?

I wear a wedding ring to keep my hubby happy ::) And earrings on occasion, other than that I can't stand it on me :o
A friend came around a while ago to show off her new expensive diamond ring and spent ages boring me half to death discusssing it's merits and of course price ::)

I don't mind jewellery on other people but hate it dangling around my neck or on my wrist. The only watch I posses is my old nurses fob watch which I pin inside my bag if I need to know the time when out!

Anyone else feel like this or is it just me x8)

Barbara

I like wearing A necklace and id feel lost without my 2 rings but thats it, anymore than that and i feel all jangley (soz sp)
I hate wearing watches, good job ive a clock on my mobile or id be late all the time :) My OH buys me jewellery every christmas which is lovely but i never hardly wear it. Gonna ask him for one of those guipi thingys LOL ;D

I do like jewellery but not bothered about expensive stuff. Just makes it really awful if it gets lost! My wedding ring cost £20 but it's what I liked so it doesn't matter! I don't like ankle chains, and don't like loads and loads of rings. But I do like most other jewellery but don't buy that much.

What about clothes shopping? Can't stand that!

Ooooh I like to go looking for clothes :)
I don't by expensive stuff now, but I like something new to wear. I hate trying on in the shop though so just pay and take it home and return if no good!

I love jewellery :)

got three earrings in each ear, one tongue piercing, one bellybutton piercing, and always wear my silver necklace with a silver horseshoe on it. :)

Tell you what I really hate to se and it makes me fel quite sick...
Trays of second hand rings in a shop window...horrible xx0

You just know that a lot of them will have come off the fingers of deceased people. Or have belonged to people who have passed on.

Ugh! Never thought of it like that! Won't be buying any second hand rings then!

I have one on my lower back, its only of a flower chain but its classey.

I'm sure you're not wrinkly! At least if it's on your lower back when you're old you won't be supple enough to turn round and see it!

Only joking - I'm just not keen on them (and if the truth be known, too much of a chicken to ever have one done!) And I can't believe you didn't have one done of a guinea-pig instead!

alot of them are from people though who just needed money and sold their jewellery off.

And a lot more are from the dear departed. A friend of my sister worked in one of these shops and said a lot were from families selling their mums etc jewellery. fair enough, but I find it a bit unsettling.

LOVE IT not cheap stuff though can only wear gold anyway, I dont mind the idea of 2nd hand jewellery after all its better then being left to rot in a box I guess, personally my family always pass on their jewellery to the eldest daughter, I'm wearing my nans engagment ring and would kill if anyone tried to take it from me I have my wedding ring on since day I got married 27 and half years ago a silver wedding gift a gold and diamond ring from hubby an eternity ring for our 1st annivesary and another one I loved he brought me, round my neck is my childs gold ring my nan brought me for my 10th birthday its never left me now its too small for my finger its on a gold chain round my neck my daughter will eventually get the lot, and i like gold braclets as well not into tongue bars etc though or ankle braclets, and i love old 40s style brooches really twinkly ,

love it too. ;D ;D but only gold

had ears pierced 3 times when I was younger, but know only keep one set in, small ones
have a heart pendent on gold chain that my husband bought me the first christmas we spent together and I have never taken it off, only once when it fell off and was handed into the shop (thank fully) I would have died if it had gone for ever.

wedding ring, engagement ring and eternity ring on one finger and a small St Christopher in a ring on the other hand.

the odd other ring when I go out.

I love it! Small and delicate, big and chunky, all colours to co-ordinate with the outfit. Cheap and chearful costume Jewellry. Its lovely :)
Glamerous and girly. Almost as fabby as SHOES! Shoes! SHOES! ;)

I love it!!
I wear 4 ear-rings in each ear, a nose ring, necklaces, bracelets, rings & a watch oh & i have 2 tattoos (tho' they're not really noticable) ;D

Love to be spoilt with jewellery, it's always on my birthday and Christmas lists ;D

Got my ears pieced but no body piercing, not my style. Daughter's 16 and so far only ears, thank goodness. But as i always say 'everyone to their own' ;)

I've got 2 piercings in each of my ears but normally wear studs, daughter had her ears pierced for her 7th birthday, shes now 11 am thinking of a small tattoo on both my arms, its going to get it done thats stopping me lol

Love it! Especially bracelts - only gold though! Wear loads ! Have 3 tattoos, Paw print on my wrist, my dogs name side of foot and dalmation puppy(from 101 dalmations) on arm! Hoping to get another soon!- probably another pawprint creation!

I have three earrings in each ear. Other than that i rarely wear jewellery. Occasionally bracelets or necklaces, but NEVER rings, I hate them so much. I don't like piercings anywhere else but ears and I hate tattoos. I do like make-up though.

I love jewellery

Since I got engaged I just love diamonds... its the way they sparkle :)

I love make up and perfume but I hate clothes shopping and I dont wear shoes unless I absolutely have to.

Have to share this:

Dee (daughter) had her second piercings done nearly 3 years ago, she'd been bugging me and i mean really bugging me for a couple of years. So along we go, she did not want to tell her dad (OH) so we thought we'd wait and see when he noticed. You know it took him over 2 years before he realised ;D :D
Dee and i still laugh over this, he gets all hoity toity and says 'you guys left me out', well what do expect DUH :D

So both us girls have 2 piercings in each ears, we share and buy jewellery together, we both love necklaces, rings, the works. I'm surprising her for her 16th and getting her a white gold zirconia ring for her, i hope she can treasure it for years to come. :-*

I like jewellery but not the expensive stuff as I always fear I'd loose it or something.

LOL Boots boots boots.... love shopping for boots lol ;)

I dont really wear jewellry, only a bracelet my mum gave me for my 25th. I wear earrings on a night out but can never really find any jewellry i like.

My ex hates jewellry - he's got some kind of phobia to it - can't touch it or anything so I never got any nice jewellry pressies from him! ;D
