A little thread to show how great my little 6 and a half year old girly has done after her eye removal on the 17th Oct. Sheâs now off the Zithromax and the Metacam and back to her brilliant, bonkers little self!
Evening after the surgery bless her.
Little knock the week after and stitch slightly separated, scab had formed
Still very sleepy and a slightly dodgy tummy from the meds. Was having to syringe feed as really off her food. Put on a happy face for mummy though!
Knocked the scab off out at play time last week (no idea how), flashbacks to Pedro the chin!
But healed well.
Thursday morning totally Jess again, really happy and munching away! Gorgeous
And this morning, bribed with half a grape as wouldn't sit still, definitely Jess again!
As she latched onto my nail (prob a whiff of grape!) and did laps around the sofa!
Yay success! And no more nasty meds!
On Thursday I did notice (as she was so much better) that her cagemate Luigi became pretty territorial, I even saw a few lunges when she was trying to eat which shocked me. Iâm putting it down to that heâs had a cage to himself really for two weeks as she was so quiet. And theyâve only been together since the end of June so kind of new pals really. Three hayracks and bowls, cage changed around a couple of times a day and not seen anything since. So hopefully heâs realised the boss is back to normal now!
