So, whenever I have the boys together for lap time, they seem to enjoy it more than when I hold them separately. But when I pet fudge, smudge ( the oldest ) starts to get jealous and will snap at fudge with his teeth. Then he is all happy when I touch him again. Advice? Anyone else have guinea pigs that do this?

Please observe the piggy hierarchy and always handle, cuddle, feed and groom the top piggy first; that will make things easier for you and them.

Smudge is the top pig for sure, he always has been. I normally do give attention to him first. They are the best of friends, so I just don't know if this is because fudge is now a hormonal teenager per say

Some dominant piggies like to have all the attention for themselves and their status repsected, especially when it under assault. See what works best for your boys in that situation.

When we had Linney and a friend, we always had to be sure to hold the pigs one at a time. Linney would get aggressive towards the other pig if she had to share the human with them. She was an extremely domineering top pig! We just held them separately to avoid the number two pig getting beaten up for daring to sit on the same lap as Linney!
