really random question... the other day while sitting with yum yum on my lap i was eating one of the above crackers..she seemed really intrested so i snapped a tiny bit off a corner and gave it to her..she crunched it down and loved it! she begged for more but as i was unsure i denyed her any! :...
when i had mice i used to give them bits and they loved it.. i was just wondering..was that ok?! i checked the ingrediants and all thats in them is wheat, flour, veg oil, salt, sodium bicorbanate and yeast.. no sugar or crap but I'm still unsure! any help is appreciated! :D

I don't know for sure but I'd imagine that cream crackers wouldn't be good for guinea pigs. Either way, a small amount as a one off probably wouldn't do much harm but I personally wouldn't feed them.

I would've thought that salt could be just as harmful as sugar but I'm no expert so I'd also be curious to know what others think.

I know it can be really tempting to spoil your piggies when they're so cute and start sniffing at your food but even if crackers don't contain 'harmful' ingredients there will most likely be better things to give as treats. :)

A little bit now and then shouldn't do a huge amount of harm but I wouldn't give it often.

Piggies shouldn't have baked foods generally, mainly because they are designed for humans! I'm sure a little taste wouldn't have done any harm but I wouldn't make a habit of it.
Bet she enjoyed crunching on it though!

thanks for getting back to me! i may give her a little bit as a treat every now and again as ive never seen her get so worked up about anyhting else but lettuice! guinea pigs are wierd! she tried to eat a bit of my donut once but that was a huge no no! crazy cavie! xx>>> xx>>>
