I have cracked my problem with not being able to completely disinfect my cage this afternoon
I think it's due to the fact that I can't see that I forgot there is a top door which I will never be able to use because my arms are too short however it means I can stick my head through instead which means I can stand up better so I can get to all four corners of the cage especially the back ones which is where I was having the difficulty before
I was disinfecting the areas I could reach you understand that because there were areas I couldn't and because of this hot weather the cage was starting to smell really horrible until now
It took me half an hour of scrubbing with a toothbrush and disinfectant to get the cage up to my level of cleanliness which means no dust residue or anything it looks like it's never been used which is how I want to look every week
The guinea pigs went to happy about going in their carrier however because they thought I was taking them to the vet again but I've just gone to check on them in their plane closure and they are quite happily eating hey it was only because one of my dreadlocks caught on the catch of the top door that I remembered that there was even one there
Bloody eyes not working honestly
This now means I can fully disinfect the cage every single week all four corners of it and it means that it will never take as long as it took me today to get it to the level of cleanliness that I wanted to be at
I don't think the guinea pigs will be too impressed as there is no smell of Wii at all in my bedroom or in the cage it just smells of the Newhay and which flakes that I correction hey
They will get used to it
Because I'm asthmatic I was wondering what was causing me to have breathing problems but now that I've completely disinfected all the cage I now realise it was the smell of Wii that was setting my asthma off
I thought it was the wood flakes but now I realise differently now that there is no smell of Wii in my room at all
It was starting to concern me that there were areas of the cage that I couldn't reach and I can't lift the bars off because they probably weigh half as much as I do
The cage is 5 foot long by about 4 foot wide
It's a sky pet products 150 CM Roger rabbit cage
Which I was lucky to get hold of as they are discontinuing them
Plus the cage is on an old school desk because my landlord is a teacher so every so often he gets desks when the school is being refitted so it's actually quite high up so that's why I was also having problems cleaning
