I knew it was going to be big but I was still shocked at the size of it when it arrived in the box and my poor dad near had a heart attack when he opened the box and realised the size of :))

Its is now sitting on top of my bed, so I am on the sofa tonight!

Unpacked and taking up my bed rolleyes

Oh and in case anyone has not seen my other thread it is the Liberta Extra Large Rabbit Retreat :)

Oh wow that is huge! I saw that cage at the weekend at a pet shop and was amazed at the size. How many piggies will it be a home for?

Does the cage have an "upstairs" bit too ? Looks big in that big cardboard box ! I bet your Guineas would love exploring that big box too :)

Yes it does , thought its wire so will be getting covered to protect their feet it was the whole size of the box! Its just over 150cm long . Sadly the cardboard box is now in the recycling bin but will stock up on them so when I get the piggies they have plenty :)

Can you put on a picture once it is built? I'd be very interested to see it . It will be like a mansion for your piggies :)

of course I'd be more then happy to, though be warned I love taking pictures of my animals cages so there will more then likely be a few ;) . thank you I like to get the biggest cages possible :)

I cant wait to see it set up :) I would be really interested in owning one of those cages. I have the perfect space in the dinning room!

I changed from c and c to this cage, I couldn't take to it. You won't be disappointed, it's a real solid base and great to clean. I have two girls in mine. It measures 4 x just about 2 grids internal measurement.

that's good to hear! am really looking forward to having it all set up and ready to go for my new piggies when I bring them home .

Happy shopping Are you using bedding or fleece and litter trays and don't forget two hideys to save them arguing

I had one of these and they ARE huge. I found it a bit tricky to clean as you have to insert youself through the flap on the front of the cage! If you leave the lid off, it might be easier. The mezzanine level is useless unless you cover it as it's wire and please don't use the ladder as it's horrific. I made my own wooden mezzanine level and a long, shallow ramp. Will try to post pics when I'm on the computer (rather than tablet). It's equivalent to a 4x2 grid c&c and I had 2 piggies in it. Wiukdn't think it's big enough for more than 2 adults though. Mine was gifted to Rainbow Rabbits retirement home when I swapped to a c&c ( which I have to admit, I much prefer).

My first cage was a liberta and it was the best i had, it was only 100cm long hence why i upgraded, but it’s far better than any other store bought cage for sure, i much prefer my C&C now but that just because it suits me better now that i have more than 2 piggies.

I was only able to clean it by lifting the metal top off of the cage though, which made sweeping poops when i was on fleece quite difficult as it meant practically taking the whole cage apart just to sweep! But it was a great cage and really sturdy, someone borrowed it from me and stacked another cage on top of it and it took the weight fine. If i had to go back to any store bought it would be a liberta :)

Well after hours of rearranging my room and figuring out now to do it the cage is up!

It bare at the moment but in the next few days I am getting toys etc. so will be a picture when I have everything in it :)

The only good thing about the ladder is that its easy to tie a piece of carpet to it, so it can actually be used! :))

Wow that really is fantastic ! It has given me some ideas on how to expand my cage to make a loft area ! Thanks for posting the picture .
