Donkeys at the sanctuary enjoying (not) the snow this morning.

Went for a little wander earlier, just to enjoy the snow, since Cornwall so rarely gets it. There’s a hill that goes down to the beach just across the road from my house. Tried to walk back up it.

Nope. Not happening. Feet slid all over the place. Was iced up. Not a chance of me going up without either coming back down a lot faster than heading up or having a serious accident.

Turned round and went back the way I came.

Supposed to be more snow tomorrow. Might not leave the house unless I absolutely have to!
 
OMG that looks really bad there :( Poor horses. Do take real care on the roads.

Yeah, walking back home from the sanctuary (I can’t drive) was...interesting. And we managed to get the donkeys in as soon as we’d cleaned the barn, so that was okay.
 
I bet those poor donkeys are freezing.I didn’t know they had a donkey sanctuary in Cornwall.Ive been to the one in Devon.
 
I hope the donkeys are warm and indoor now, but I really like the countryside and the landscape. Enjoy a walk tomorrow, but don't take the risk of slipping in the ice.

Yes, donkeys are all back inside now. I’ll try not to slip, but to be honest, unless I have to, probably won’t be going anywhere.
 
Take care. I am away and travelling home tomorrow..clear here but back home they have about 7 inches
 
Glad the donkeys have got a nice warm barn. I've just been looking at the pictures on line of St. Micheals Mount in the snow - so pretty from indoors!
 
Glad the donkeys are nice and cosy now. Worst part of snow is when it freezes!

Storm Emma has now moved in, bringing with it more snow. Piggies aren’t at all bothered, since they’re currently tucked up in their cage in my kitchen, munching as much Timothy hay as I can give them!
