Hi All,

Well mine get loads to eat here is the routine -

First thing in the morning - Top up Hay dried and water

11:30 - Give Veggies

Then check every hour for Hay and make sure they have enough

4:00 - Readigrass treat

7:00 Veggies and top up everything that needs it

10:00 Check they have enough Hay for the night

But still the girls act like they haven't been fed enough they climb the bars when I come in the shed! 98) They have 10 different veggies a day. I think because they are constanntly active, more so than the boys that they burn it off and want more all the time! So funny to watch them! :smitten:

I think that is the problem Gaile. :)

Actually they stopped eating the pellets and I had a bag of Tesco Purple Museli so I gave them it and they eat it all up! They have been on Excel for ages now they change their minds! 98)

Yes mine are spoilt like that too. Herbie and Trouble are the worst culprits for the wheeking though. One day I walked through the front door and before I even put my bags down at the bottom of the stairs all you could hear was "WHEEEEKKKK WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK" I couldn't believe how loud they were they get fed loads all the time. Mine are just greedy I suppose lol.

Haha they are funny! I only have to have the back door open and I'll be making a cuppa, Pearl will squeak so loud! It's mad! Twinkle used to be the biggest Wheeker but Pearl is just something else, he has given up competing for the ruler of the Barn! ;D

You have very spoilt piggies! Mine get hay, fresh water and dried pellets first thing, 11am they get their veggies, 1pm they get more hay, 6pm they get an extra veggie (normally beansprouts) to settle them for the night with fresh water, top up of pellats and 10pm they get checked last thing, more hay and a quick cuddle ;D ;D ;D we dont have 10 veggies a day though! Archie always climbs up the bars of the hutch though- I thought he was just pleased to see me, not that he wanted food 98) 98) 98)

Aww bless I give small portions of veggies which is why I give 5 per serving, I'm obsessed with calcium! ;D

Lol - I don't have an exact timetable for my 2 girls.

They get everything topped up if its needed as I pass their cage (its in the dining area which is part of the livingroom so I pass it all the time). They might get a little veg in the morning before going to work but they always get veg when I'm having my dinner too. Their water gets changed then too. Up until dinner time they had hardly touched their hay - then the next minute I checked it was all gone. They musta had an attack of the munchies! ;D

With me everything is timed, dated etc I am a stickler for organisation it's a downfall of mine! ;D

The only routine feed is really in the morning between 7 and 8 am.
Clean out the old stuff, give them fresh water, hay and pellet mix and then a bowl full of veggies and fruit.
Afternoon they get a top up if hay and some grass as a treat and that's it for over night.

Lol....sounds like Minty and Ben! They are only about 2 feet away from each other and Ben is the worst culprit! If there's even a hint of a chance of food in the air then he's up at his bars, chewing them and trying his best to look like a starving piggy! Minty hears the noise and then stands up to see what he'll be getting... ::) ;D Garry might stick his nose out of his pigloo, but worst of all is that Ben is slowly teaching Dave all his tricks! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: Makes me sound terrible, like I never feed them, but they have everything they need...ALL the time! ;D

Mine are just the same Louise. I'm sure they are used to their routine if i dare to be late I'm wheaked at very loudly, also it works the other way if I'm early first thing in a morning and i catch them sleeping i get this glare as if to say. 'What time do you call this your early'

7.30 breakfast this am (Carrot, Round lettuce, broccoli, cauli and cucumber) also Hay and dried food its topped up i notice alot of the dried stuff is eaten in the night water bottles replaced with fresh.

They used to get hand picked grass when it was too cold for them to go out in the runs. Bit throughout the day depending on OH shift patten as he cuts it for them.

5.45 Tea will be another bowl of fresh veg tonight will probably be Kale,Cucumber,Pepper, Celery and Carrot.

8.00 Readigrass for Supper other checks top ups of empties are made also at this time.

9.00-9.30 Bedtime Now its lighter nights they are covered up when it goes dark.

They would all still have more too. Makes me laugh when you watch them eat they are so fast just like they they have never eaten before. :smitten:

mine do this do as soon as they here me even when they are all topped up they wheek loudly sometimes i'm sure its a pleased to see you
and hen theirs the rattle any plastic bag and off they go wheeking ;D

My girls eat twice as much as their brothers. They are always hungry and always munching on fresh dried organic grass or organic hay which I stuff into a rack or they will do their doo doos in it if put on the floor.

At this time of year there is lots of fresh grass and clover and dandelion leaves. However, I`m a bit nervous about pulling it up from around where i live in case its been sprayed with chemicals or has been peed on by cats and dogs. Unfortunately, my garden is grass / weed free. There is always exhaust fumes to worry about too.

The only time they stop wheeking is when they are full of food. But it doesn't last for long.

I have a black and white baby monitor in their hutch and throughout the night they are munching on hay, taking a drink then taking little piggy naps for 10 minutes or so. Its no wonder they do so much doo doos none stop.

They love their nuggets at dusk and they all sit around the bowl waiting, with their little paws on the edge of the bowl - all 8 of them. Its so funny to see.
