Just wondering because my house seems to be a little bit nippy and I don't want it to take forever to dry. Unfortuanelty we don't have a tumble dryer, so was just wondering how long-ish it takes to dry?

Jess.

Mine comes out of the washing machine after a spin practically bone dry - I just pop it onto a warm radiator and its ready to go in 10 minsrolleyes

hi is vet bed good for a hutch ? sorry to intrude on your post :/ but I'm getting made a hutch and I'm having trouble deciding on a bedding to use that wont smell and be difficult to clean out :/

The top of the vetbed comes out bone dry the underside is always soaking, it takes around 4 hours on the washing line, otherwise I just leave it hanging in the green house overnight. :)

Every one should read "In a Flap about Fleece " on Gorgeous Guineas site.

I use vetbed for my outdoor hutches. Its fabulous, much less hassle and money than shavings and hay! I was going through around £20 a month on hay and shavings but since switching to vetbed i only go through £8 on hay. :)

The vetbed can be pricey to set up, how big is your hutch? For my 4ft by 2ft double i bought one full hutch set, and half a hutch set for change over costing me £30.

It will need fresh newspaper underneath daily, and need washing either in the washing machine or by hand once a week (if you have two pigs) however the smaller the hutch and the more pigs you have it will need changing more frequently :)

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't put vet bed in a tumble dryer any way!

You can but it will shrink so do it before you cut to size thats what happened to me and i think it costs a fortune considering it dont do anymore that wick urine away, thats why i love my cageliner's cleaned out in ten mins washable and dried in 30mins on the line less on a radiator
